CERTIFICATE IN SURGERY AND GLOBAL HEALTH

Course 2: Surgery and Global Health Online Course

Surgery has not always been considered a global health priority, but the global health community has recently recognized that surgical conditions form a significant burden of disease and have cost-effective interventions. This online course discusses the global burden of surgical disease, surgery in resource-poor settings, surgical workforce and task shifting, as well as the ethics of surgical care in resource-poor settings.

This course is freely and publicly available. It is also part of the Certificate in Surgery and Global Health.
